Why Pizza Hut?
Pizza Hut first opened in 1958 in Wichita, Kansas, when brothers with a big dream borrowed $600 from their mom to open a pizza place. They named it Pizza Hut because the sign only had room for eight letters. The awesome pizza, home-style service and comfortable family atmosphere contributed to their growth.
For over 60 years now, Pizza Hut has leaned on those strengths to help its franchisees achieve that same, self-made dream shared by its founders – spinning small-town passion and big-minded innovation into a pizza restaurant powerhouse beloved in more than 100 countries along the way.
